RESOLUTION NO. 91-18 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE COMPENSATION OF THE ANIMAL WARDEN AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, the Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, has previously enacted Ordinance No. 88-7 establishing the position of Animal Warden; and WHEREAS, Greg Miller has previously been appointed and confirmed as Village Animal Warden, his status being that of independent contractor to the Municipality; and WHEREAS, the aforesaid legislation provides, in part, that the compensation of the Animal Warden is to be determined by the Council from time-to-time; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. From and after the effective date of this resolution, Greg Miller, Village Animal Warden, shall be compensated at the rate of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per month for performing the duties of Animal Warden as set forth in Ordinance No. 88-7. SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. SECTION 4. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the immediate preservation for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the compensation established herein is necessary to maintain the effective services of the Animal Warden.
