RESOLUTION NO. 91-18 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />ESTABLISHING THE COMPENSATION OF THE <br />ANIMAL WARDEN AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, has <br />previously enacted Ordinance No. 88-7 establishing the position <br />of Animal Warden; and <br />WHEREAS, Greg Miller has previously been appointed and <br />confirmed as Village Animal Warden, his status being that of <br />independent contractor to the Municipality; and <br />WHEREAS, the aforesaid legislation provides, in part, that <br />the compensation of the Animal Warden is to be determined by the <br />Council from time-to-time; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. From and after the effective date of this <br />resolution, Greg Miller, Village Animal Warden, shall be <br />compensated at the rate of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per <br />month for performing the duties of Animal Warden as set forth in <br />Ordinance No. 88-7. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, <br />resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements <br />including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised <br />Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the immediate <br />preservation for the health, safety and welfare of the residents <br />of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the compensation <br />established herein is necessary to maintain the effective <br />services of the Animal Warden. It shall, therefore, take effect <br />immediately upon the passage by the affirmative vote of not less <br />
