RESOLUTION NO. 91- 25 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION DECLARING APPLE COMPUTER, INC. TO BE THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR THE SALE TO MUNICIPALITY OF COMPUTER HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO PAY AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED NINE THOUSAND EIGHT DOLLARS AND NINETY-FOUR CENTS ($9,008.94) AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. In accordance with the informal bids received, Apple Computer, Inc. is hereby declared to the lowest and best bidder for the sale to the Municipality of computer hardware and software for the Police Department. SECTION 2. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to make payment to Apple Computer, Inc. an amount not to exceed Nine Thousand Eight Dollars and Ninety-Four Cents "~ ($9,008.94) for the purchase of said computer hardware and software. SECTION 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. SECTION 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the purchase authorized herein is necessary to maintain effective law enforcement within the Municipality. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the affirmative vote of not less than five (5) __~- _= ~+~
