RESOLUTION NO. 91-30 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />ACCEPTANCE OF AN INFORMAL BID FROM GENERAL ELECTRIC SUPPLY <br />COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF HALIDE FLOODLIGHTS <br />FOR THE WILEY PARK BASEBALL FIELD <br />WHEREAS, halide floodlights meets the specifications <br />required for the lighting of the baseball diamond located at <br />Wiley Park; and <br />WHEREAS, said halide floodlights is only available from a <br />limited number of suppliers; and <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village, Ohio, received an informal bid <br />from General Electric Supply Company to provide such lighting for <br />an amount of Seven Thousand Seven Hundred Seventeen Dollars and <br />Fifty Cents ($7,717.50); and <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village, Ohio, has immediate need for the <br />purchase of such floodlights so that they may be installed before <br />the baseball program begins; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor and President of Council are <br />hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with General <br />Electric Supply Company for the purchase of halide floodlights in <br />the amount of Seven Thousand Seven Hundred Seventeen Dollars and <br />Fifty Cents ($7,717.50), in accordance with the informal bid <br />submitted by said company, and without advertising further for <br />competitive bids. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, <br />resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements <br />including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised <br />Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of <br />
