RESOLUTION NO. 91- 33 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A USED MASSEY FERGUSON TRACTOR FOR THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, in the purchase of goods in an amount equal to or greater than Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00), Mayfield Village must obtain at least two (2) written quotes from reputable suppliers; and WHEREAS, the Village has a limited opportunity to purchase a used Massey Ferguson Tractor for a limited time; and WHEREAS, an informal bid has been obtained for the purchase of a used tractor for the Service Department, and the bid offered by Alpha Diesel, in the amount of Six Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($6,800.00) was the lowest and best informal bid received; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to proceed immediately with the purchase of the used tractor inasmuch as no other like used tractor is available in the condition and for the price set by Alpha Diesel, and if not immediately purchased the tractor will be sold to others; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. The informal bid and offer of Alpha Diesel for the sale to the Village of a used Massey Ferguson Tractor for the Service Department in the total amount of Six Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($6,800.00), is hereby declared to be the lowest and best informal bid and is hereby accepted, and the Finance Director is hereby authorized to pay Alpha Diesel that sum upon delivery of the tractor and the appropriate documents therefor. SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open
