6/17/91 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-52 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and the Entire Council <br />A RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH HAMILTON INSURANCE AGENCIES <br />IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO E%CEED <br />ELEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED EIGHT-FIVE DOLLARS ($11,585.00) <br />FOR THE PURCHASE OF POLICE PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY INSURANCE <br />FOR HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, <br />FOR THE PERIOD COMMENCING JULY 1, 1991 <br />AND TERMINATING JUNE 30, 1992, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby <br />authorized and directed- to enter into a contract with Hamilton <br />Insurance Agencies for the purchase of a policy of police <br />professional liability insurance for the period commencing July <br />1, 1991, and terminating June 30, 1992. <br />SECTION 2. The premium for the policy period referred to <br />hereinabove shall be in an amount not to exceed Eleven Thousand <br />Five Hundred Eighty-Five Dollars ($11,585.00) and shall be in <br />accordance with the specifications included in the bid proposal <br />submitted by the Hamilton Insurance Agencies. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, <br />resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to <br />the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements <br />including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised <br />Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety <br />and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the <br />reason that the policy purchased herein is necessary to provide <br />liability protection for members of the Mayfield Village Police <br />Department. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon <br />the passage by the affirmative vote of not less than five (5) <br />
