6/17/91 RESOLUTION NO. 91-52 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and the Entire Council A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH HAMILTON INSURANCE AGENCIES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO E%CEED ELEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED EIGHT-FIVE DOLLARS ($11,585.00) FOR THE PURCHASE OF POLICE PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, FOR THE PERIOD COMMENCING JULY 1, 1991 AND TERMINATING JUNE 30, 1992, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized and directed- to enter into a contract with Hamilton Insurance Agencies for the purchase of a policy of police professional liability insurance for the period commencing July 1, 1991, and terminating June 30, 1992. SECTION 2. The premium for the policy period referred to hereinabove shall be in an amount not to exceed Eleven Thousand Five Hundred Eighty-Five Dollars ($11,585.00) and shall be in accordance with the specifications included in the bid proposal submitted by the Hamilton Insurance Agencies. SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. SECTION 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the policy purchased herein is necessary to provide liability protection for members of the Mayfield Village Police Department. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the affirmative vote of not less than five (5)
