6/17/91 v- RESOLUTION NO. 91- 56 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO MARE PAYMENT TO LOVE INSURANCE AGENCY, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF FOUR THOUSAND FOUR DOLLARS ($4,004.00) FOR THE PURCHASE OF FIRE AMBULANCE MALPRACTICE AND FIRE FIGHTERS ERRORS AND OMISSIONS LIABILITY INSURANCE FROM AMERICAN EMPIRE 'SURPLUS LINES INSURANCE CO. FOR THE PERIOD OF JULY 1, 1991, TO JUNE 30, 1992, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to pay to Love Insurance Agency, Inc. the sum of Four Thousand Four Dollars ($4,004.00) for the purchase of fire ambulance malpractice and fire fighters error and omissions liability insurance from American Empire Surplus Lines Insurance Co. for the period of July 1, 1991, to June 30, 1992, in accordance with the proposal for such insurance made by Love Insurance Agency, Inc. SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of~this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. SECTION 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for. the reason that the insurance purchased herein is necessary to protect the fire department employees in the execution of their duties.
