RESOLUTION NO. 91-68 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH VANDRA BROS. CEMENT, INC. <br />FOR CONCRETE RECONSTRUCTION OF PORTIONS OF CERTAIN <br />STREETS WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO <br />EXCEED TWO HUNDRED THIRTY-THREE THOUSAND <br />EIGHT HUNDRED NINETY-THREE DOLLARS ($233,893.00), <br />REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION i. In accordance with bids received, pursuant to <br />advertisement as required by law, Vandra Bros. Cement, Inc. is <br />hereby declared to be the lowest and best bidder for the concrete <br />reconstruction of portions of certain streets within the <br />Municipality. <br />SECTION 2. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby <br />authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Vandra <br />Bros. Cement, Inc. in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Thirty- <br />Three Thousand Eight Hundred Ninety-Three Dollars ($233,893.00) <br />for the aforesaid improvements in accordance with the <br />specifications of the contract upon which the bid was received. <br />SECTION 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, <br />resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements <br />including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised <br />Code. <br />SECTION 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety <br />
