RESOLUTION NO. 91-80 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />ACCEPTING THE BID OF WARREN FIRE <br />EQUIPMENT, INC. TO BE THE LOWEST AND BEST <br />BID FOR THE PIIRCHASE OF SIX SELF CONTAINED BREATHING <br />APPARATUS WITH TRADE-IN <br />IN AN AMOIINT NOT TO EXCEED SIX THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED <br />DOLLARS ($6,900.00) AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE <br />TO PAY SUCH AMOUNT, REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />BE"IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. In accordance with bids received, pursuant to <br />advertisement required by law, Warren Fire Equipment, Inc. is <br />hereby declared to be the lowest and best bidder for the purchase <br />of six self contained breathing apparatus. <br />SECTION 2. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized <br />and directed to pay an amount not to exceed Six Thousand Nine <br />Hundred Dollars ($6,900.00) for the aforesaid equipment with <br />trade-ins in accordance with the specifications upon which the <br />bid was received. <br />SECTION 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, <br />resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements <br />including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised <br />Code. <br />SECTION 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety <br />and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the <br />reason that the bid awarded herein is necessary to maintain <br />effective fire protection. It shall, therefore, take effect <br />immediately upon the passage by the affirmative vote of not less <br />
