RESOLUTION NO. 91-80 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF WARREN FIRE EQUIPMENT, INC. TO BE THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR THE PIIRCHASE OF SIX SELF CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS WITH TRADE-IN IN AN AMOIINT NOT TO EXCEED SIX THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($6,900.00) AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO PAY SUCH AMOUNT, REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE"IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. In accordance with bids received, pursuant to advertisement required by law, Warren Fire Equipment, Inc. is hereby declared to be the lowest and best bidder for the purchase of six self contained breathing apparatus. SECTION 2. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to pay an amount not to exceed Six Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($6,900.00) for the aforesaid equipment with trade-ins in accordance with the specifications upon which the bid was received. SECTION 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. SECTION 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the bid awarded herein is necessary to maintain effective fire protection.
