It is the intention of the subscribers to this plan that <br />children who are the subject of reports of abuse and/or <br />neglect and other children who are in the families ofi <br />alleged victims be interviewed by as few people as <br />possible. To that end, the following standards are adopted: <br />A. The Department of Human Services' social t~orF,er <br />assigned to the case will be the primary interviewer of <br />the child unless there are issues of maintenance of <br />evidence at stile. In such cases the police may lead <br />if the social services worEter is present. <br />Ee, lilhenever possible there will be a team interview of the <br />child. Mandated subscribers who need to interview the <br />child shall be invited to participate in the <br />-interview. This may include representatives of the <br />investigating police department,. the prosecutor's <br />office,. and/or ofi the medical facility that is <br />providing care for the child. <br />Ca A record: must be kept of all interviews. The method of <br />recording the information may be 1. in writing, 2. on <br />audiotape: or ~. on videotape. Whatever the medium used <br />the record of the interview must be maintained in the <br />CCDHS case record. Use of the record by other mandated <br />subscribers shall follow. the procedures discussed in <br />Sections V and VI above. . <br />XIIo Amendments to the Plan. <br />1. Amendments to this plan will- be authorised by the <br />participants when:. <br />A. any changes are made in the operating responsibilities <br />or Proced~ires ofi mandated subscribers. <br />~~ <br />'Ei. a mandated subscriber is replaced. through election or <br />appointment. <br />~. The mandated subscribers jointly agree to notify each other - <br />whenever such a change occurs. It is further agreed that <br />the Cuyahoga County Department of-Human Services will assume <br />resPonsibil.ity- (upon notification.; ofi, a change) for <br />t -' <br />submitting ariy amendments to the Flan (including any mew <br />signatures.- to the Flan), to the appropriate Ohio Department <br />of Human Services District.
