6/17/91 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 91-23 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />GRANTING A VARIAPTCE TO SAND - S.O.M. PLAZA <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF MAINTAINING THE SIGN ON <br />CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED AT 775 - 785 S.O.M. CENTER ROAD AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, on July 21, 1985, Mayfield Village Council enacted <br />Ordinance No. 85-16 which required that all commercial signs must <br />be in compliance with the Codified Ordinances within five (5) <br />years; and <br />WHEREAS, Sand - S.O.M. Plaza has a sign on the premises <br />know as 775 - 785 S.O.M. Center Road that would be in violation <br />of Section 1185.14 of Mayfield Village Codified Ordinances; and <br />WHEREA3, Sand - S.O.M. Plaza has requested a variance in <br />order to maintain the location of the sign on such property; and <br />WHEREAS, the Building Commissioner has reviewed the <br />location of such sign and has given his recommendation that Sand <br />- S.O.M. Plaza should be granted a variance in order to maintain <br />the sign at its present location at a maximum height of six (6) <br />feet; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission on June 3, <br />1991, recommended to Council to grant such variance; and <br />WHEREAS, to avoid unreasonable hardship to the property <br />owner, Council is desirous to grant a variance to Sand - S.O.M. <br />Plaza to allow this sign at its present location; now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. Sand - S.O.M. Plaza is hereby granted a <br />variance for the sign to be located at 775 - 785 S.O.M. Center <br />Road, so as to maintain its sign at its present location at a <br />maximum height of six (6) feet. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this
