1? . lb <br />-,-- (f) Unless otherwise provided by the Mayor, it is the <br />function of the Committee to act in an advisory capacity to the <br />Mayor for the planning, preparation and supervision of the Summer <br />Activities. <br />SECTION 2. New Section 131.07 of the Codified Ordinance of <br />Mayfield Village is hereby enacted to establish the Community <br />Development Committee which shall read as follows: <br />131.07 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE. <br />(a) There is hereby established the Community Development <br />Committee which shall be constituted and have such powers and <br />duties as hereinafter set forth. <br />(b) The Committee shall consist of not more than seven <br />members, all of whom shall be appointed by the,Mayor on or after <br />January 1 of each year, such appointments subject to the <br />concurrence of a majority of the members elected to Council. All <br />members shall be residents of the Municipality and shall not hold <br />other municipal or elected office. The Committee shall elect one <br />of its members to serve as its Cliairman. <br />(c) Members of the Committee shall serve on the Committee <br />until December 31 of the year in which they were appointed. If, <br />for any reason, there is a vacancy on the Committee and the Mayor <br />determines that such vacancy should be filled, then the <br />appointment of a successor shall be made in the same manner as an <br />original appointment. <br />(d) The members of the Committee shall serve without <br />compensation. . <br />(e) Pursuant to the terms of the Charter, the Mayor shall <br />supervise the functions and duties of the Committee. Unless <br />otherwise provided by the Mayor, the Chairman of the Committee <br />shall establish meeting dates for the Committee and shall preside <br />at all meetings. <br />(f) Unless otherwise provided by the Mayor, it is the <br />function of the Committee to act in an advisory capacity to the <br />Mayorto encourage economic stability, maintain property values <br />and generate new housing opportunities. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, <br />resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to <br />the public, in complian.ce with all statutory requirements <br />including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised <br />Code.
