ORDINANCE N0.2012-03 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />REPEALING IN ITS ENTIRETY <br />VILLAGE CODIFIED ORDINANCE 131.07 <br />PERTAINING TO THE GROWTH COMNIITTEE. <br />WHEREAS, at this time, based upon the recommendation of the Village Administration, it <br />has been deemed in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of the Village and its residerits <br />to specifically repeal Village Codified Ordinance 131.07 establishing the Growth Committee; and <br />WHEREAS, the Committee was established by ordinance in 1992 and has ceased to be an <br />active committee since its creation; and <br />WHEREAS, the stated function of the Committee was to act in an advisory capacity to the <br />Mayor to encourage economic stability, maintain property values and generate new housing <br />opportunities; and <br />WHEREAS, given the creation of the Community and Economic Development Committee <br />and Planning Development Department, the purpose and intent behind the Growth Committee is no <br />longer necessary. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, <br />OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. Village Codified Ordinance 131.07 shall be repealed in its entirety, and the <br />Growth Committee considered disbanded as of the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 2. All other provisions of the Village's. Codified Ordinances not inconsistent <br />herewith shall remain in full. force and effect. <br />SECTION 3. The Clerk of Council is authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of <br />this Ordinance to the Codifier of the Village of Mayfield <br />SECTION 4. The Council fmds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in <br />meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including ~ the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />
