ORDINANCE N0.2012-10 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING A POLITICAL SUBDIVISION <br />PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT <br />WITH THE COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, <br />OHIO BENEFITS REGIONALIZATION PROGRAM <br />AS AND FOR EMPLOYEE HEALTH CARE <br />AND HOSPITALIZATION COVERAGE <br />WI~REAS, the current health care and hospitalization insurance contract with <br />Anthem is set to expire as of March 31, 2012; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Healthcare Task Force and the <br />Finance Committee of Council that this legislation be.passed to move coverage for <br />employee health care and hospitalization benefits. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAlIVED BY THE COUNCIL OF <br />HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby and herein <br />authorized and directed to enter into a Political Subdivision Participation Agreement <br />with the County of Cuyahoga, Ohio Benefits Regionalization Program for employees <br />of the Village _,pursuant to the rates, terms and conditions attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein as Exhibit "A". <br />_SECTION 2. The Council fords. anddetermines.that.all.formal_actions ofthis <br />Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings <br />of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting <br />in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with <br />all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio <br />Revised. Code_ <br />
