ORDINANCE NO. 2011-13 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR <br />TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br />RELATED TO AN ENERGY AUDIT WITH URS CORPORATION -OHIO <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village advertised a Request For Proposal for the <br />performance of a Comprehensive Energy Audit that substantially meets the requirements <br />of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers Level II <br />energy efficient audit ("ASHItAE LEVEL II") on approximately 92,142 square feet or six <br />of its municipally owned buildings; and <br />WHEREAS, such Request For Proposal was made in coordination with the <br />Village's Master Municipal Grant Agreement with Cuyahoga County; and <br />WHEREAS, at this time it is deemed in the best interest of the Village and its <br />residents to enter into a professional services agreement with URS Corporation, Ohio for <br />URS to provide the desired services in connection with the ASHRAE LEVEL II energy <br />efficient audit. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor and President of Council are hereby and herein <br />authorized and directed to enter into a letter agreement for professional services with URS <br />Corporation - Ohio in a form substantially similar to that attached hereto and incorporated <br />herein by reference as Exhibit "A" in and for an amount not to exceed Twenty-one <br />thousand seven hundred and eighty dollars and zero cents ($21,780.00). <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this <br />Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this <br />Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory <br />requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield <br />Village, Ohio.
