ORDINANCE NO. 2010-01 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinkcr=andCouncil as a Whole.• ` <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />ADOPTING THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE <br />VILLAGE'S PLANNING AND ZONING <br />COMMISSION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF <br />THE MAYFIELD VILLAGE GREENWAY <br />CORRIDOR MASTER PLAN <br />? WHEREAS, in 2007 pursuant to Resolution No. 2007-12, Village Council authorized <br />the Mayor and Director of Finance to file an application with Northeast Ohio, Areawide <br />Coordinating Agency ("NOACA") for the use of funds through the Transportation for Livable <br />Communities Initiative ("TLCI") Planning Grant to promote Hike and Bike Trails throughout <br />the Village; and <br />WHEREAS, the application was approved by NOACA and in accordance with the <br />provisions of the Grant, the Village is required to authorize and enter into an agreement with <br />NOACA outlining the scope of the goals of the TLCI and the development of a comprehensive <br />Greenway Corridor Master Plan; and - <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the TLCI Planning Grant the Village entered <br />into an Agreement with NOACA and used the funds received to generally evaluate <br />transportation and pedestrian linkages in the Village, and further evaluated the proposed <br />location of hike and bike trails in the Village; and <br />WHEREAS, the results of the Village's evaluation have been documented in the <br />Mayfield Village Green Corridor Master Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayfield Village Green Corridor Master Plan was presented to and <br />reviewed by the Village's Planning and Zoning Commission and a recommendation was made <br />by the Planning and Zoning Commission to recommend approval of the Plan to Village <br />Council. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL, OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. Pursuant to the recommendation of the Mayfield Village Planning and <br />Zoning Commission, the Mayor' and Council hereby adopt the Mayfield Village Green <br />Corridor Master Plan as more fully set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated <br />herein by reference.
