ORDINANCE NO. 2010-01 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinkcr=andCouncil as a Whole.• ` AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE VILLAGE'S PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE MAYFIELD VILLAGE GREENWAY CORRIDOR MASTER PLAN ? WHEREAS, in 2007 pursuant to Resolution No. 2007-12, Village Council authorized the Mayor and Director of Finance to file an application with Northeast Ohio, Areawide Coordinating Agency ("NOACA") for the use of funds through the Transportation for Livable Communities Initiative ("TLCI") Planning Grant to promote Hike and Bike Trails throughout the Village; and WHEREAS, the application was approved by NOACA and in accordance with the provisions of the Grant, the Village is required to authorize and enter into an agreement with NOACA outlining the scope of the goals of the TLCI and the development of a comprehensive Greenway Corridor Master Plan; and - WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the TLCI Planning Grant the Village entered into an Agreement with NOACA and used the funds received to generally evaluate transportation and pedestrian linkages in the Village, and further evaluated the proposed location of hike and bike trails in the Village; and WHEREAS, the results of the Village's evaluation have been documented in the Mayfield Village Green Corridor Master Plan; and WHEREAS, the Mayfield Village Green Corridor Master Plan was presented to and reviewed by the Village's Planning and Zoning Commission and a recommendation was made by the Planning and Zoning Commission to recommend approval of the Plan to Village Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL, OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. Pursuant to the recommendation of the Mayfield Village Planning and Zoning Commission, the Mayor' and Council hereby adopt the Mayfield Village Green Corridor Master Plan as more fully set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
