ORDINANCE NO. 2009-12 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINAloTCE <br />AMENDIloTG CHAPTER 373 <br />OF THE VILLAGE'S CODIFIED ORDINANCES <br />REGARDING BICYCLES. <br />WHEREAS, at this time, it has been deemed in the best interest of the health, safety <br />and welfare of all Village residents to update and amend Chapter 373 at Sections 373.06 <br />and 373.07 so as to conform the Village's Codified Ordinances with Ohio House Bi11389. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />? SECTION 1. Section 373.06 of Chapter 373 of the Codified Ordinances of the <br />Village pertaining to bicycles is hereby and herein amended to read as set forth in Exhibit <br />"A" which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. <br />SECTION 2: Section 373.07 of Chapter 373 of the Codified Ordinances of the <br />Village pertaining to safe riding regulations is hereby and herein amended to read as set <br />forth in Exhibit "B" which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. <br />SECTION 3. The Clerk of Council is authorized and directed to forward a certified <br />copy of this Ordinance to the Codifier of the Village of Mayfield. <br />SECTION 4. All other Codified Ordinances not specifically amended herein shall <br />remain in effect unless inconsistent with this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 5. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this <br />Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this <br />Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory <br />requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 6. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />? immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield <br />-- Village, Ohio. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the
