ORDINANCE NO. 2009-13 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AlVIENDING CODIFIED ORl)INANCE SECTION 15311 <br />PERTAINING TO FAMILY AND MEDICAL LEAVE. <br />WHEREAS, at this time, the Family and Medical Leave Act, pursuant to 29 CFR § <br />825, has been revised effective January 16, 2009; and <br />WHEREAS, it has been deemed in the best interest and for the health, safety and <br />welfare of the Village to revise and amend the Village's Family and Medical Leave policy to <br />comply with such revisions and amendments. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. Section 153.11 of the Village's Codified Ordinances pertaining to <br />Family and Medical Leave is hereby and herein amended to read as set forth in Exhibit "A" <br />attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. <br />SECTION 2. The Clerk of Council is authorized and directed to forward a certified <br />copy of this Ordinance to the Codifier of the Village of Mayfield. <br />SECTION 3. All other Codified Ordinances not specifically amended herein shall <br />remain in effect unless inconsistent with this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this <br />Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this <br />Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal <br />action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory <br />requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 5. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the affirmative vote of
