CHAPTER 1339 <br />Insulafion Requirements <br />1339.01 InsuIation: type and iocation. 1339.99 Penalty. <br />1339.02 Exception. <br />CROSS REFERENCE <br />Consumer transactions - see OAC 109: 4-3-14 <br />1339.01 INSULATION: TYPE AND LOCATION. <br />Every new structure, and every new addition to a structure, shall have properly installed <br />therznal insulation with the minimum resistance factor R-19, in ox under the roof above the <br />uppermost ceiling of the structure, and shall have properly instalied thezmal insulation with a <br />minimum res9stance factor R-11 in the outermost exterior walls and walls and floors separating <br />unheated spaces fram heated spaces. AII exterior windows and doors to receive glazing shall be <br />glazed wiih insutated glass units cansisting of two lights of glass with a sealed air space between. <br />(Ord. 76-25. Passed 10-19-76.) <br />1339.02 EXCEPTION. <br />This chapter shall not apply to greenhouses or additions thereto or to residential additiQns; <br />provided, however, that such greenhouse or residential addition is not being heated. If such <br />greenhouse or residential addition witl be heated, either at the time of construction or subsequent <br />thereto, the requirements of this chapter are mandatory. <br />(Ord. 76-25.
