Such signs when employed shall be located near the floor level in addition to those signs required for doors and corridors. The signs shall be illuminated in accordance with 1027.3 and 1027.4. Externally illuminated signs shall be sized in accordance with (a)1011 5 1 to (b)1011.5.3. The bottom of the sign shall be not less than 6 in. but not more than 18 in. above the floor.
