ORDINANCE NO. 2003- 02 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />CREATING A NEW ZONING CLASSIFICATION <br />FOR PLANNED RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT DISTRICTS <br />WHICH SHALL BE KNOWN AS CHAPTER 1159 <br />OF THE VILLAGE'S CODIFIED ORDINANCES <br />WHERI?,AS, the Villages Planning and Zoning Commission has reviewed and <br />approved a npw zone classification for Planned Residential Deyelopment Districts; and <br />WHEREAS, such classification will allow the Village to offer cluster and townhome <br />developments in locations which are residential but may not be suitable for standard <br />residential sub-divisions; and <br />WHEREAS, this legislation is our attempt to meet the changing housing needs of <br />Village residents and maintain and protect the existing residential character of the Village; <br />and <br />? WHEREAS, it is the desire of Council to affirm the recommendation of the Planning <br />?i and Zoning Commission and create a new zoning classification for Planned Residential <br />? Development Districts which shall be known as Chapter 1159 of the Village's Codified <br />Ordinances. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That Chapter 1159 may be adopted creating a zoning classification <br />within the Village for Planned Residential Development Districts as set forth in Exhibit "A" <br />attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. <br />SECTION 2. That all otherVillage Codified Ordinances shall remain in effect unless <br />inconsistent with this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its adoption by Gouncil and <br />signature by the Mayor and approval by the voters pursuant to the Charter requirements <br />of the Village of Mayfield. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this <br />Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this <br />Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory <br />requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />-? <br />j 1 <br />?:_ .
