ORDINANCE NO. 2003- }-ra <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />CREATING CERTAIN POSITIONS AND COMPENSATION THEREFORE RELEVANT <br />TO PI SOCIETY CLUB SUMMER PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, the Mayfield Village Parks and Recreation Department is in the process <br />of establishing and preparing for the 2003 Summer Pi Society Club Program; <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield Parks and Recreation Department is establishing <br />the cost and fees for the Pi Society Club Summer Program; <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Parks and Recreation Department to <br />contract for certain Pi Society Club employee positions; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Village of Mayfield to authorize the Pi Society Club <br />Summer Program and to authorize those positions and hourly compensation rates as <br />hereinafter set forth. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayfield Village Parks and Recreation Department's establishment <br />of Pi Society Club Summer Program is hereby and herein authorized, and the positions for <br />the operation of same are established as hereinafter set forth with the compensation range <br />for each position category indicated adjacent thereto: <br />Position Com ensation Ra??--? <br />?i5•"? ?l' <br />Team Directors $14.00 to $1?8:66 p our <br />Counselors $ 6.50 to $ 8.00 per hour <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; <br />and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, <br />took place in meetings open to the public., in compliance with all statutory requirements <br />including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield <br />Village, Ohio. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to Council and approval by the <br />Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time allowed by law.
