ORDINANCE NO. 2003- }-ra INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE CREATING CERTAIN POSITIONS AND COMPENSATION THEREFORE RELEVANT TO PI SOCIETY CLUB SUMMER PROGRAM WHEREAS, the Mayfield Village Parks and Recreation Department is in the process of establishing and preparing for the 2003 Summer Pi Society Club Program; WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield Parks and Recreation Department is establishing the cost and fees for the Pi Society Club Summer Program; WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Parks and Recreation Department to contract for certain Pi Society Club employee positions; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Village of Mayfield to authorize the Pi Society Club Summer Program and to authorize those positions and hourly compensation rates as hereinafter set forth. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. The Mayfield Village Parks and Recreation Department's establishment of Pi Society Club Summer Program is hereby and herein authorized, and the positions for the operation of same are established as hereinafter set forth with the compensation range for each position category indicated adjacent thereto: Position Com ensation Ra??--? ?i5•"? ?l' Team Directors $14.00 to $1?8:66 p our Counselors $ 6.50 to $ 8.00 per hour SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public., in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time allowed by law.
