Rinker, Mayor <br />And Members of Council <br />Village of Mayfield <br />6621 Wilson Mills Road <br />Mayfield Village, OH 44143 <br />RE: P(anned Residential Development Re-zoning <br />Dear Mayor Rinker & Members of Councii: <br />You have requested the time line for the consideration of rezoning the Krenzler <br />property from Single Family Residential and Office Laboratory to Planned Residential <br />Development. The following is my opinian on that subject. Afso, a draft of the <br />legislation is attached for your review. <br />November 4, 2003 is the election date. The Village is required to have their <br />legislation, per Village Charter, to the Board of Elections no [ater than sixty (60) days <br />prior to the election. Therefore, any rezoning should be adopted and delivered ta the <br />Board no later than September 5, 2003. Assuming #hat it is read in full at Council's <br />June 16, 2003 meeting, it would need to be read again in full on July 7, 2003. After the <br />second reading, and prior to the third reading, there must be a thirty (30) day Notice <br />published for the Public Hearing. {f the advertisement would be placed in the <br />newspaper and published on July 10, 2003, the next meeting of Council on August 18, <br />2003 could be the Public Hearing and the third and final reading. <br />Should there be any change to this time line, September 1, 2003, which is Labor <br />Day, or September 2, 2003 could be a back up date for adoption of the rezoning <br />ordinance. <br />Article III, Section 12 of the Village's Charter requires Planning Commission's <br />review and recommendation. This should occur prior ta the Public Hearing.
