Agreement between Mayfield V'rllage and F.O.P. Lodge 57 <br />THIS AGREF.MENT, made and entered into on the date hereina.fter set forth but effective as <br />of 7anuary 1, 2003, by and between MAYFZII.D VII..LAGE, OHIO, hereinafter referred to as the <br />"EMPLOYER", and the FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE, LODGE #57, MAYFIELD VII.LAGE <br />DIVISION, hereinafter referred to as the "FOP". <br />ARTICLE 1 <br />FURPOSE <br />Section 1.1. The putposes of this Agreement are to provide a fair and reasonable method by which <br />employees covered by this agreemeirt can participate through their exclusive bargaining agent in the <br />establishment of terms and conditions of their employment, to provide for the effective and efficient <br />operation of the V"illage govemment, and to establish an orderly procedure for the resolution of <br />differences between the Employer and the members of the bargaining unit. <br />ART'ICLE 2 <br />UIVIONRECOGNITION <br />Section 2.1. The EMPLOYER recognizes the F.O.P., Lodge #57; MAYFIELD VII..LAGE <br />DIVISION, as the sole and exclusive representative for those employees of the Employer in the <br />_ bargaining units listed in Section 2.2. Whenever used in this Agreement, the term "bargaining unit(s)" <br />shall be deemed to include those full-time employees employed by the Employer, in a classification <br />listed as appropriate to a bargaining unit. The parties recognize and agree that this Agreement <br />constitutes a multiple unit Agreement and, unless eliminated specifically by clause, all provisions of the <br />Agreemem apply equally to both units. <br />Section 2.2. The term "bargaining unit" shall be defined as follows: <br />Barg..aining Unit A: All sworn Patrol Officers. <br />Baz?aining Unit B: All sworn Sergeants and Lieutenants. <br />Section 2.3. All positions and classifications not specifically stated herein as being included in the <br />bargaining units shall be excluded from the bargaining units. <br />Page 1 of 35
