= ORDINANCE NO. 2001- 18 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH <br />ROYALCARE ENTERPRISES FOR THE PURPOSE OF SNOW REMOVAL <br />WHEREAS, the Village has advertised, pursuant to law, for bids pertaining to the <br />removal of snow from the driveways of senior citizens during the 2001-2002 winter season; <br />and an option for the 2002-2003 winter season. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby and herein authorized and directed to enter <br />into an agreement with Royalcare as and for snow removal from the driveways of senior <br />citizens as directed by the Mayor's office and the Director of Service, and pursuant to the <br />advertisement for bids and all bid specifications, for an amount not to exceed One Hundred <br />Eight-Five Dollars ($185.00) per driveway for the contract period, plus Forty Dollars <br />($40.00) additional for circular drives, and payments to be made pursuant to the <br />specifications as advertised. This contract will be for the winter season 2001-2002, and for <br />2002-2003 unless terminated by either party with thirty (30) days notice upon conclusion <br />of the 2001-2002 winter season. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; <br />and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, <br />took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements <br />including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield <br />Village, Ohio. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to Council and approval by the <br />Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time allowed by law. <br />? <br />WILLIAM M <br />Council Pre
