j <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2001- 22 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />, <br />AN ENIERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1157 OF THE <br />CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO INCLUDE <br />NEW SECTION 1157.09 RELATING TO HOME OCCUPATIONS <br />WHEREAS, it has been deemed necessary and in the best interest of all Village <br />residents and inhabitants to amend Chapter 1157 of the Codified Ordinances of <br />Mayfield Village pertaining to zoning and residential districts; and <br />WHEREAS, new section 1157.09 relating to Home Occupations shall be included <br />within Chapter 1157 so as`,to define the type of Home Occupations which are permitted <br />in residential zones. `. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, B'E IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. Chapter 1157?"of the Village's Codified Ordinances is hereby and <br />herein amended to read as follows: \ <br />New Section 1157.09 <br />1157.09 HOME OCCUPATIONS <br />I <br />(a) Home Occupations. Home?Occupations are permitted in residential <br />zone districts only if in conformance with the following standards. <br />(1) Employment. The occupation, is conducted only by members of the <br />family residing in the dwelling. <br />(2) Area. The occupation is condueted wholly within the dwelling and any <br />space used for such occupation occupies no more than 150 square feet of <br />floor area. ` <br />,t <br />(3) Sales. No physical storage, sale or>>transfer of goods are permitted <br />from the premises. `. <br />(4) Advertisina. No advertising signs or displays are permitted on the <br />premises. <br />(5) Environmental Impact. No noise, or odors, vibrations, electrical <br />interferences, or other such nuisance is created that change the character <br />\ <br />of the residence. <br />(6) Traffic. Vehicular traffic or pedestrian traffic,,does not change the <br />character of the residence. ?`•, <br />(7) Exterior Appearance. The residential character of the dwelling is not <br />. <br />diminished. <br />,e <br />SECTION 2.
