ORDINANCE NO. 2001- 25 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN ENiERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />FOR THE FURNISHING AND INSTALLATION OF THE WATERLINE REPLACEMENT <br />ALONG S.O.M. CENTER ROAD BETWEEN HIGHLAND ROAD AND WHITE ROAD <br />AND RELATED INCIDENTALS INCLUDING CLEARING AND GRUBBING NECESSARY <br />FOR THE RELOCATION OF THE UTILITIES <br />WHEREAS, Council deems it necessary and in the best interest of the health, safety <br />and welfare of all Village residents to engage in the widening of S.O.M. Center Road; and <br />WHEREAS, Council wishes to authorize the advertisement of bids and specifications <br />to facilitate that improvement by contracting for the furnishing and installation of a waterline <br />replacement along S.O.M. Center Road between Highland Road and White Road, and for <br />the clearing and grubbing necessary for the relocation of utilities along S.O.M. Center <br />Road; and <br />WHEREAS, more specifically such Contract has been designated Contract "A" and <br />consists of the furnishing and installation of all labor, equipment, materials, appurtenances, <br />and incidentals required for the waterline replacement along S.O.M. Center Road between <br />Highland Road and White Road, the installation of a new waterline from the Mayfield <br />Village Pool area continuing overland south to Highland Road, and the clearing and <br />grubbing necessary for the utility relocation along S.O.M. Center Road. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, <br />OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. That the Mayor, through the Director of Finance is directed to advertise <br />for bids and issue specifications for the furnishing and installation of the replacement <br />waterline along S.O.M. Center Road between Highland Road and White Road, the new <br />waterline installation from the Mayfield Village Pool area continuing overland south to <br />Highland Road and for the clearing and grubbing necessary for the relocation of utilities <br />along S.O.M. Center Road. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; <br />and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, <br />took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements <br />including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
