RESOLUTION NO. 2000- 12 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN ElVyERGENCY RESOI,UTION <br />PRQVIDING FCDR THE CREATION OF A <br />"YOUTH DIVERSION PROGRAM FUND" AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE DEPC)SIT OF FLTNDS 1NT4 SUCH ACCOUNT <br />WH]]EREAS, it the V'illage has received grant moneys from Cuyahoga County for the <br />purpose of developing a youth diversion program is the desire of Council to set aside monies for <br />the purpose of developing such a program. <br />IVOW, THW-FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />5ECTION 1. That there is hereby and hexein created a fund to be known as the "Youth <br />Diversion Program Fund". The sources of monies deposited into said fund shaU be determined by <br />Council from time to time. Expenditures made from this fund will be for the purpose of paying the <br />costs of planning, implementing, training personnel and provifling supplies for a youth diversion <br />program and any other expenses authorized by Council in relation to the development of such a <br />program. <br />SECTION 2. The Directar of Finance is authorized and d.irected to establish said fund, <br />and to deposit tnonies therein as indicated by Council, and to make application to the Bureau of <br />Inspection of the State of Ohio far approval of the creation of the Youth Diversion Progra.m Fund <br />pursuant to the provisions of Ohio Revised Cade Section 5705.12. <br />SECT'ION 3. The Council finds a.nd deterixiines that all formal actions of the Council <br />relating to the adaption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Cauncil; anci <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place <br />in meetings open ta the public iti compliance with all statutory requirements ineluding #he <br />requirements af Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4, This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary <br />for the immediate presErvation of the health, safety and wel€are of the residents of Mayfield <br />Village for the reason that such plan was necessacgr to encourage orderly development in Mayfield <br />Village.
