ORDINANCE NO. 2000-17 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />ADOPTING A TAX BUDGET FOR HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE OHIO, FOR THE TAX YEAR 2001 <br />WHEREAS, Section 5705.28 of the Ohio Revised Code requires that, on or before <br />the 15th day of July in each year, the taxing authority of each subdivision adopt a tax budget <br />for the next succeeding fiscal year; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed tax budget for Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the year 2001 <br />has been prepared by the Director of Finance in the form prescribed by law; and <br />WHEREAS, two (2) copies of the said budget have been placed on file in the Office <br />of the Director of Finance for public inspection more than ten (10) days prior to the adoption <br />of this Ordinance; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council on June 19, 2000, at 8:00 p.m. will hold a public hearing on <br />the said proposed budget, notice of said hearing will be published not less than ten (10) <br />days prior to the date thereof in a newspaper having general circulation with the Village of <br />Mayfield, all as required by Section 5705.30 of the Ohio Revised Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council deems it necessary to adopt the said budget and to submit <br />the same to the Cuyahoga County Auditor, as required by law. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The tax budget of Mayfield Village, Ohio, showing anticipated receipts <br />and expenditures of the Village for the year 2001, a copy of which is attached hereto, <br />marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein as if fully rewritten, be the same is hereby <br />approved and adopted, pursuant to Section 5705.28 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION2. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to submit the <br />said budget to the Office of the Cuyahoga County Auditor on or before July 20, 2000. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; <br />and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, <br />took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements <br />including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield <br />Village, Ohio. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the <br />
