ORDINANCE NO. 2000- 36 <br />. INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH <br />ROYALCARE FOR THE PURPOSE OF SNOW REMOVAL <br />WHEREAS, the Village has advertised, pursuant to law, for bids pertaining to the <br />removal of snow from the driveways of senior citizens during the 1999-2000 winter season, <br />with an option for the 2000-2001 season, which Council wishes to exercise. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby and herein authorized and directed to <br />exercise the option in the agreement with Royalcare as and for snow removal from the <br />driveways of senior citizens as directed by the Mayor's office and the Director of Service, <br />and pursuant to the advertisement for bids and all bid specifications, for an amount not to <br />exceed One Hundred and Sixty-Four Dollars ($164.00) per drivewayforthe contract period, <br />plus Forty Dollars ($40.00) additional for circular drives, and payments to be made pursuant <br />to the specifications as advertised, for the snow season 2000-2001. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; <br />and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, <br />took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements <br />including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the health; safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield <br />Village, Ohio, forthe reason to encourage commercial developmentwithin Mayfield Village. <br />It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the affirmative vote of not <br />less than five (5) members elected to Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at <br />the earliest time allowed by law. <br />~ ~~ ~~-~ <br />WTCLTAIVI'1VfRT{(QZJAT{Q7;-Stephan Par er <br />Council President Pro Tem <br />
