Cablevision/Mayfield Village Franchise Agreement 2000 <br />Page No. -13- <br />(c) Fourteen (14) days before offering service on the Cable System (or rebuilt Cable <br />System), the Grantee shall notify Grantor of the number of channels and types of services it <br />intends to activate on the Cable System. Grantee shall notify Grantor and Subscribers at least <br />fourteen (14) days before the effective date of any channel change regarding lineups and channel <br />number allocation. <br />(d) No less than thirty (30) days prior to the start of construction in the Franchise Area, <br />Grantee shall meet all applicable design and construction standazds of Grantor and shall provide <br />a detailed construction progress schedule and area construction maps. In addition, Grantee shall <br />update this information upon request by Grantor on a quarterly basis, by submitting a copy of its <br />normal internal progress reports, showing specifically whether schedules aze being met and the <br />reasons for delay. <br />Section 21. Emergency Alert Capability. <br />Grantee shall provide, during the duration of this Agreement, a system equipped such that <br />the emergency alert override will be operated in accordance with the rules and regulations issued <br />by the FCC. <br />Section 22: Standby Power. <br />Grantee shall provide standby power generating capacity at the Cable System control <br />center capable of providing at least three (3) hours of emergency supply. Grantee shall maintain <br />standby power system supplies throughout the major trunk cable networks capable of providing <br />emergency power within the standard limits of commercially available power supply units. <br />Section 23. Parental Control Lock. <br />Grantee shall provide, for sale or lease, to Subscri~rs, upon request, a parental control <br />locking device or digital code that permits inhibiting the video and audio portions of any <br />channels offered by Grantee. Notwithstanding the above, Grantee will not be required to <br />manufacture or to have the device manufactured if the same is not yet commercially available. <br />Section 24. Status Monitoring. <br />Grantee shall provide an automatic status monitoring system or a functional equivalent <br />when the build or rebuild of the Cable System has been activated for interactive service, provide <br />that such status monitoring is technically and economically feasible. <br />Section 25. Technical Standards. <br />The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Rules and Regulations, Part 76, <br />Subpart K (Technical Standards), as they may be amended from time to time, shall apply to the <br />extent permitted by applicable law. <br />M & M 1999 - Page 13 of 28 <br />
