ORDINANCE NO. 99-~1 <br />_ . INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />CREATING TWO POSITIONS WITHIN THE <br />SERVICE DEPARTMENT ENTITLED <br />"ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT FOR ROADS" <br />AND <br />"ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT FOR PUBLIC LAND AND BUILDINGS" <br />WHEREAS, the Service Department is in need of two additional administrative <br />positions to assist the Service Director in the operation of the department; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of Council to create an Administrative Assistant for <br />Roads as well as an Administrative Assistant for Public Lands and Buildings within the <br />Service Department. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That there are hereby and herein created two additional positions <br />within the Service Department to be known as "Administrative Assistant for Roads" and <br />"Administrative Assistant for Public Lands and Buildings", to be appointed by the Mayor <br />-~ on or after June 1, 1999. <br />SECTION 2. The compensation for the two new administrative assistant positions <br />shall be Twenty-One Dollars ($21.00) per hour. <br />SECTION 3. The duties of the respective positions shall be determined by the <br />Service Director and shall be as generally described in the job descriptions created <br />therefor. <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this <br />Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of <br />this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory <br />requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 5. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield <br />Village, Ohio. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to Council and approval by the <br />Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time allowed by law. <br />
