131.02 ADMINISTRATIVE CODE 28 <br />131.02 SENIOR CENTER AND COMMU1vITY ROOM COMMITTEE. <br />(a) There is hereby established the Senior Center and Community Room Committee <br />which shall be constituted and have such powers and duties as hereinafter set forth. <br />(b) The Committee shall consist of not more than twenty-one members, all of whom <br />shall be appointed by the Mayor on or after January 1 of each year, such appointments subject to <br />the concurrence of a majority of the members elected to Council. All members shall be residents <br />of the Municipality and shall not hold other municipal office or appointment except that the Mayor <br />may appoint one member of Council to the Committee to act as liaison between the Committee <br />and Council. The Committee shall select one of its members to serve as its Chairman. <br />(c) Members of the Committee shall serve on the Committee until December 31 of the <br />year in which they were appointed. If, for any reason, there is a vacancy on the Committee and <br />the Mayor determines that such vacancy should be filled, then the appointment of a successor shall <br />be made in the same manner as an original appointment. <br />(d) The members of the Committee shall serve without compensation. <br />(e) Pursuant to the terms of the Charter, the Mayor shall supervise the functions and <br />duties of the Committee. Unless otherwise provided by the Mayor, the Chau~man of the Committee <br />shall establish meeting dates for the Committee and shall preside at all meetings. <br />(f) Unless otherwise provided by the Mayor, it is the function of the Committee to act <br />in an advisory capacity to the Mayor for the completion, operation and management of the Village <br />Senior Center and Community Room. <br />(Ord. 83-19. All members shall be residents <br />of the Municipality and shall not hold other municipal or elected office.
