131.02 ADMINISTRATIVE CODE 28 131.02 SENIOR CENTER AND COMMU1vITY ROOM COMMITTEE. (a) There is hereby established the Senior Center and Community Room Committee which shall be constituted and have such powers and duties as hereinafter set forth. (b) The Committee shall consist of not more than twenty-one members, all of whom shall be appointed by the Mayor on or after January 1 of each year, such appointments subject to the concurrence of a majority of the members elected to Council. All members shall be residents of the Municipality and shall not hold other municipal office or appointment except that the Mayor may appoint one member of Council to the Committee to act as liaison between the Committee and Council. The Committee shall select one of its members to serve as its Chairman. (c) Members of the Committee shall serve on the Committee until December 31 of the year in which they were appointed. If, for any reason, there is a vacancy on the Committee and the Mayor determines that such vacancy should be filled, then the appointment of a successor shall be made in the same manner as an original appointment. (d) The members of the Committee shall serve without compensation. (e) Pursuant to the terms of the Charter, the Mayor shall supervise the functions and duties of the Committee. Unless otherwise provided by the Mayor, the Chau~man of the Committee shall establish meeting dates for the Committee and shall preside at all meetings. (f) Unless otherwise provided by the Mayor, it is the function of the Committee to act in an advisory capacity to the Mayor for the completion, operation and management of the Village Senior Center and Community Room. (a) There is hereby established the Activities Committee which shall be constituted and have such powers and duties as hereinafter set forth. (b) The Committee shall consist of not more than twenty-one members, all of whom shall be appointed by the Mayor on or after January 1 of each year, such appointments subject to the concurrence of a majority of the members elected to Council. All members shall be residents of the Municipality and shall not hold other municipal or elected office. The Committee shall elect one of its members to serve as its Chairman. (c) Members of the Committee shall serve on the Committee until December 31 of the year in which they were-appointed. If, for any reason, there is a vacancy on the Committee and the Mayor determines that such vacancy should be filled, then the appointment of a successor shall be made in the same manner as an onginal appointment. 1999 Replacement
