ORDINANCE NO. 98-11 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH URS GREINER <br />AS AND FOR VARIOUS PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN <br />SUPPORT OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NORTHWEST <br />QUADRANT OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the Village has advertised for engineering and related services for the <br />development of the Northwest Quadrant of Mayfield Village; and <br />WHEREAS, numerous proposals were received, and interviews were conducted <br />by a combined council/administrative committee, which recommends the selection of <br />URS Greiner, engineers, architects and planners, as and for various professional services <br />referred to in Exhibit "A", attached hereto, relative to the development of the Northwest <br />Quadrant of Mayfield Village. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, <br />OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor, and Director of Finance are hereby and herein <br />-. authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with URS Greiner, as and for various <br />`. professional services referred to in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein <br />by reference, pertaining to among other things, storm water management, and wetland <br />mitigation master plan, site roadway plans, site utility plans, SOM Center and White Road <br />widening (environmental clearance documents), SOM Center and White Road widening <br />design and plan preparation, and miscellaneous other services on an as needed basis <br />associated with the development of the Northwest Quadrant of Mayfield Village. <br />SECTION 2. That payment for these services is authorized as referred to in each <br />of the documents attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this <br />Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of <br />this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all <br />statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised <br />Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield <br />Village, Ohio, and for the further reasons that time is of the essence both to act to protect <br />and preserve the existing eco-system and with respect to offered acquisition funding. <br />
