ORDINANCE NO. 98- 29 <br />PAGE TWO <br />SECTION 2. That subsequent to the passage of this Emergency Ordinance, by a <br />vote of at least two-thirds of the Members of Council, this proposed Charter amendment <br />shall be referred to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections for submission to the electors <br />at the next General Election pursuant to Article X of the Charter of Mayfield Village and <br />Article XVIII, Section 9 of the Constitution of the State of Ohio. <br />SECTION 3. That upon submittal of this ordinance to the Board of Elections or <br />thereafter, the Director of Law is authorized and directed to draft the appropriate ballot <br />language and question that will be referred to the electors of the Village regarding this <br />proposed Charter amendment. <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this <br />Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of <br />this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory <br />requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 5. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield <br />Village, Ohio.
