ORDINANCE NO. 98- 45 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH <br />BORDONARO LANDSCAPING FOR THE PURPOSE OF SNOW REMOVAL <br />WHEREAS, the Village has advertised, pursuant to law, for bids pertaining to the <br />removal of snowfrom the driveways of senior citizens during the 1998-1999 winter season; <br />and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby and herein authorized and directed to enter <br />into an agreement with Bordonaro Landscaping as and for snow removal from the <br />driveways of senior citizens as directed by the Mayor's office and the Director of Service, <br />and pursuant to the advertisement for bids and all bid specifications, for an amount not to <br />exceed One Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($150.00) per driveway for the contract period, plus <br />Forty Dollars ($40.00) additional for circular drives, and payments to be made pursuant to <br />the specifications as advertised. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions ofthis Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this <br />Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory <br />requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield <br />Village, Ohio, forthe reason to encourage commercial developmentwithin Mayfield Village. <br />It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the affirmative vote of not <br />less than five (5) members elected to Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at <br />the earliest time allowed by law. _ ~ <br />First Reading: 12~~ , 1998 <br />Second ReadingsusPenaed , 1998 <br />Third Reading: susPe~-1998 <br />
