Resolution No. 98-07 <br />A RCSOLUTiOI~i DCCLARING APRIL 28, 1998 <br />"HEALTH AND HUMAN S~RVIC~S DAY" <br />IN NiAYFILLD VILLAGE <br />WHEREAS, the residents of Cuyahoga County are asked to replace a 4.4 mill <br />Health and Human Services levy with a 3.1 mill levy on the May 5 (primary ballot); <br />and <br />WHEREAS, this levy (Issue 3) will provide much needed services to one out of <br />every four.. Cuyahoga County residents, both urban and suburban, including many <br />people in Mayfield Village; and <br />WHEREAS, the cost of Issue 3 is less than $2 per week for the owner of an <br />average home in Cuyahoga County; and <br />WHEREAS, the primary recipients of services provided by Issue 3 are <br />children, families, and the elderly; and <br />WHEREAS, Issue 3 services are available to anyone who needs help, <br />especially in of crisis or trauma; and <br />WHEREAS, services like the MetroHealth Burn Unit and .Life .Flight can <br />prevent tragedies and save lives; and <br />WHEREAS, passage of Issue 3 will maintain a critical safety net for citizens of <br />Mayfield Village and all of Cuyahoga County . <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayfield Village Council <br />hereby endorses Issue 3, and urges the residents of to vote for Issue 3 on May 5, <br />Primary Election Day; <br />AND BE IT ALSO RESOLVED that Tuesday, Apri128, 1998, is hereby declared <br />"Health and Human Services Days' in Mayfield Village. <br />Section 1. The Clerk of CQUncil is hereby authorized and directed to prepare <br />duplicate original copies of this Resolution. One such original shall be presented to <br />the County Action Committee. The other shall remain on file as s permanent record. <br />Section 2.
