Agreement between Mayfield Village and F.O.P. Lodge 57 <br />ARTICLE 35 <br />SALARYSCHEDULE <br />Section 35_1. Wages for 2014, 2015 and 2016 shall be in effect January lst of each year. <br />Section 35.3. In compliance with the award of Arbitrator James M. Mancini on September 18, <br />2007, each full-time employee will receive a One Thousand Dollar ($1,000.00) per year stipend <br />for the term of this Agreement, to be paid on the anniversary date of the award. <br />Section 35.4. Canine Handler Terms and Conditions <br />A. The existence of the Canine Unit within the Police Department will be at the <br />discretion of the Employer and use of the canine by the Department is solely within <br />the discretion of the Chief of Police. The assignment and removal of the Canine <br />Handler is also discretionary with the Chief of Police. <br />B. The Canine Handler agrees to maintain the necessary certification of the canine unit <br />as required by Ohio Administrative Code Section 109:2-7-03, Minimum Standards <br />for Certification of Law Enforcement Canine Units and Ohio Administrative Code <br />Section 109:2-7-05, Certification of Law Enforcement Canine Units, and Mayfield <br />Village Police Department Guidelines and this Policy for the Canine Unit. <br />C. In order to comply with the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Canine Handler shall <br />receive either straight compensatory time off, a shift off, or a reduced work day or <br />work week as determined by the Chief of Police after consultation with the Canine <br />Handler. This time shall be for the caring and training of the canine at home while <br />off duty. Such care will include, but not be limited to, brushing, grooming, bathing, <br />32
