(c) Contemporaneous with their original appointments to the Deparhnent, all original <br />appointees, from and after the effective date of this section, shall execute an agreement, as <br />approved by the Director of Law, with the Municipality, such that in the event the appointee <br />voluntarily tenninates his employment with the Municipality within one year following his State <br />certification as a paramedic such appointee shall reimburse the Municipality for all sums paid to <br />provide the appointee with the instruction and training required by the Ohio Revised Code to <br />attain the status of paramedic. In the event the appointee fails to reimburse the Municipality as <br />required herein the Director is hereby authorized to commence a civil action in a court of <br />competent jurisdiction to collect any sums due the Municipality. <br />(d) The agreement to be executed by and between the Municipality and the appointees as <br />required in this section shall not abrogate any rights accorded such appointees by the Rules and <br />Regulations of the Civil Service Commission of the Municipality. <br />(Ord. 86-11. Passed 6-16-86.) <br />141.07 APPOIN'I'EES AND HIREES TERNIINATEI) WI'PHIN YEA12; TIZAINING <br />EXPENSES REIMBURSEI3. <br />Contemporaneous with their original appointments to the Fire Deparhnent, all original <br />appointees or part-time hirees from and after the effective date of this section shall execute an <br />agreement, as approved by the Director of Law, with the Municipality such that in the event the <br />appointee or hiree voluntarily terminates his employment with the Municipality within one year <br />following the date of his appointment such appointee or hiree shall reimburse the Municipality <br />for all sums paid to provide the appointee or hiree with the instruction and training required by <br />the Ohio Revised Code to attain the status of firefighter. In the event the appointee or hiree fails <br />to reimburse the Municipality as required herein, the Director is hereby authorized to commence <br />a civil action in a court of competent jurisdiction to collect any sums due the Municipality. The <br />agreement to be executed by and between the Municipality. and the appointees or hirees as <br />required in this section shall not abrogate any rights accorded such appointees or hirees by the <br />rules and regulations of the Civil Service Commission. <br />(Ord. 88-36. Passed 10-3-88.) <br />141.08 FIRE/ARSON INVESTIGATION. <br />(a) An employee or employees within the Fire Department may be designated by the Fire <br />Chief as "Fire Investigators" pursuant to Ohio R.C. 737.27. <br />(b) Such Fire Investigators shall investigate, or cause to be investigated, every fire or <br />explosion occurring within the jurisdiction of Mayfield Village that is of a suspicious nature or
