? <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2014-24 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING RENEWAL OF <br />A POLITICAL SUBDIVISION PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT <br />WITH THE COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, <br />OHIO BENEFITS REGIONALIZATION PROGRAM <br />AS AND FOR EMPLOYEE HEALTH CARE <br />AND HOSPITAI.IZATION COVERAGE <br />WHEREAS, the current Participation Agreement with the County of <br />Cuyahoga, Ohio Benefits Regionalization Program for employee health care and <br />hospitalization coverage is set to expire as of December 31, 2014; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Healthcare Task Force and the <br />Finance Committee of Council that the Participation Agreement with the County of <br />Cuyahoga, Ohio Benefits Regionalization Program for employee health care and <br />hospitalization coverage be renewed for an additional three (3) years. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF <br />MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby and herein <br />authorized and directed to enter into a Political Subdivision Participation Agreement <br />with the County of Cuyahoga, Ohio Benefits Regionalization Program for employees <br />of the Village pursuant to the rates, terms and conditions attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein as Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2. The Council fmds and deterniines that all formal actions of this <br />Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings <br />of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its comrnittees, resulting <br />in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in coinpliance with <br />all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio <br />Revised Code.
