i Italic, <br />331.41 OPERATION OF VEHICLES ON <br />(a) No person shall operate a vehicle upon any shared-use trails, when an <br />appropriate sign giving notice of such use is posted on the path, except to cross it <br />upon a permanent or duly authorized temporary driveway. <br />(b) Such prohibition shall not apply to emergency or duly authorized vehicles. <br />(c) Nothing in this section shall be construed to affect any rule of the Director of <br />Natural Resources governing the operation of motor vehicles, snowmobiles, all <br />purpose vehicles, and bicycles on lands under his jurisdiction. <br />(Ord. 89-38. Passed 9-18-89.) <br />I M, SHARED-USE TRAILY <br />"Shared-use tr i" means a bikeway outside the traveled way and physically separate <br />from motorized vehicular traffic by an open space or barrier and either within the <br />highway right-of-way or within an independent alignment. A shared-use trai also <br />may be used by pedestrians, including skaters, joggers, users of manual and motorized <br />wheelchairs, and other authorized motorized and non-motorized users.
