ORDINANCE N0.2015-08 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 137 RELATIVE TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICE. WHEREAS, the codified ordinances currently combine the building deparhnent under the chapter relating to the department of public service; and WHEREAS, in reality, the two departments have been operating independently of one another for several years, with distinct and separate responsibilities and duties; and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Service Director, the Building Cormnissioner, the Law Department, and the Ordinance Review Committee, that the Codified Ordinances be amended to reflect the actual circumstances within the village. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. That Chapter 137 of the Codified Ordinances is hereby and herein amended to read as set forth in Exhibit "A", which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. SECTION 2. That any sections of the Codified Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby and herein repealed and amended accordingly. SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
