ORDINANCE N0.2015-08 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 137 RELATIVE TO <br />THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICE. <br />WHEREAS, the codified ordinances currently combine the building deparhnent under <br />the chapter relating to the department of public service; and <br />WHEREAS, in reality, the two departments have been operating independently of one <br />another for several years, with distinct and separate responsibilities and duties; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Service Director, the Building <br />Cormnissioner, the Law Department, and the Ordinance Review Committee, that the Codified <br />Ordinances be amended to reflect the actual circumstances within the village. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That Chapter 137 of the Codified Ordinances is hereby and herein <br />amended to read as set forth in Exhibit "A", which is attached hereto and incorporated herein <br />by reference. <br />SECTION 2. That any sections of the Codified Ordinances in conflict herewith are <br />hereby and herein repealed and amended accordingly. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; <br />and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, <br />took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements <br />including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />
