../ <br />ORDINANCE N0.2015-12 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT <br />FOR THE COLLECTION OF SOFT RECYCLABLES <br />WITH GREAT LAKES RECYCLING, INC. <br />WHEREAS, Great Lakes Recycling Inc., doing business as Simple Recycling, is skilled <br />and experienced in the collection and efficient recycling and disposition of Soft Recyclables; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village desires to limit and restrict the quantity of Soft Recyclables <br />which are deposited into landfills; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village has selected Great Lakes Recycling, Inc. to collect, identify, <br />haul, recycle and/or dispose of Soft Recyclables in the Village; and <br />WHEREAS, Great Lakes Recycling, Inc. can provide such services and is in the business <br />of and has the expertise, experience, resources and capability to perform the collecting, <br />identifying, packaging, hauling, recycling and/or disposing of Soft Recyclables. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. Council authorizes the Mayor and President of Council to enter into an <br />Agreement for the collection of Soft Recyclables with Great Lakes Recycling, Inc., doing <br />business as Simple Recycling. <br />SECTION 2. Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating <br />to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in <br />meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />
