ORDINANCE N0.2015-27 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />` AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />TO ENTER INTO AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR AGREEMENT <br />WITH ANTHONY CARBONE TO ASSIST THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT <br />IN CARRYING OUT CERTAIN ASPECTS OF BUILDING INSPECTIONS <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield has an ongoing need for the services of an individual to <br />assist the Village Building Department in carrying out certain aspects of building inspections in the <br />Village; and <br />WHEREAS, Anthony Carbone is certified to perform building inspections in the State of <br />Ohio and has sufficient and previous experience and training to provide the needed services and meet <br />the needs of the Village; and <br />WHEREAS, Council determines this Independent Contractor Agreement is necessary for the <br />safety and welfare of its residents and businesses so that such services may continue. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor is authorized and directed to enter into an Independent <br />Contractor Agreement with Anthony Carbone pursuant to the terms that are set forth in that <br />Agreement, a copy of which is attached and incorporated as "Exhibit A." <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took <br />place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the affirmative vote of not <br />
