AN~EMERGENCY ORDINANCE. <br />REPEALING ORDINANCE NUMBER 80-66 <br />IN ITS ENTIRETY- WHICH AUTHORIZED <br />THE MAYOR OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE <br />TO RECEIVE MEDICAL COVERAGE <br />UNDER THE VILLAGE'S POLICY AT VILLAGE COST - <br />WHEREAS, the Village adopted an ordinance in 1980 authorizing the Mayor <br />to receive medical insurance coverage at the Village's expense; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor believes that such coverage is not warranted fora part- <br />time Mayor's position, and is recommending its repeal to Council; and <br />WHEREAS, Council deems it necessary and in the best interest to the health, <br />safety and welfare of all Village residents to repeal ordinance number 80-66 as set <br />forth herein. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Mayfield <br />Village, County of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio: <br />SECTION 1.That Ordinance Number 80-66, attached as Exhibit "A", is hereby <br />and herein repealed in its entirety, effective immediately. <br />SECTION 2.The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the <br />Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of <br />this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in compliance with all <br />statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio <br />.Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3.This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the <br />
