INTRODUCED BY : Councilman gaga <br />AN ORDINANCE .INCLUDING THE MAYOR IN THE <br />HOSPI°I'ALI2ATION AND MEDIC,aiL, COVERAGE PLAN <br />OF THE MUNICIPALITY, PROVIDING FOR THE <br />PAYMENT OF PREMIUMS THEREFORE AND DECLARING <br />A~1 EMERGENCY . <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village is a chartered home rule municipality, <br />organized and existing in accordance with the Constitution and <br />statutes of the State of Ohio; and- <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village, as a chartered home rule municipality, <br />has the authority to exercise all powers of local self-government; <br />now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Effective December 1, 1980 the Mayor of Mayfield <br />Village, Oh o, shall be considered an employee of the municipality <br />for the purpose of inclusion in the hospitalization and medical <br />coverage plan currently in effect as of said date or any successor <br />,plan of hospitalization anc~ medical coverage purchased by the <br />municipality thereafter. The pxemium fox inclusion of the Mayor <br />in such plan shall be paid for by the municipality. <br />Section 2. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village in <br />that it will helg provide more stable leadership in the office of <br />the Mayor of the municipality.
