Agreen:ent beriveen Mayfield i~illage and ~:®.P Lodge 57 <br />total vacation days. Such vacation days shall not accrue until after the employee has worked each <br />two (2) month period. <br />All vacation time shall be credited to an employee on January 1St each year and employees inay <br />take their vacation at any time within the calendar year, subject to the approval of the head of the <br />department in which the employee works. <br />Section 24.3. Vacation time will be computed from date of hire. <br />Section 24.4. All vacation time must be taken within the calendar year or it will be forfeited. <br />Employees may make a written request to carry over unused vacation to the Mayor or his designee <br />for consideration. The Mayor shall have final approval to grant acarry-over of vacation leave. <br />Section 24.5. In the event that an employee hired after January 1, 1985, voluntarily leaves his or <br />her employment prior to December 31St of any year, his or her vacation time for that year shall be <br />prorated pursuant to the following formula: <br />Accrued Vacation Dam multiplied by Number of Days equals Vacation Days Earned <br />365 of the year Passed <br />In the event an employee has already taken more vacation time than that to which he or she is <br />entitled at the time he gives notice that he is voluntarily terminating his employment, the Village <br />of Mayfield shall have the right to withhold all amounts otherwise owed the employee to the extent <br />necessary to reimburse the Village of Mayfield. <br />Section 24.6. An employee working on a shift other than an eight hour shift shall have deducted <br />from his accrued vacation time an amount equal to the number of hours that that employee missed <br />on his day of vacation. For example, an employee who is on an eight (8) hour shift would have <br />eight (8) hours deducted from his vacation time when a vacation day is taken whereas an employee <br />on a twelve (12) hour shift will have twelve (12) hours deducted from his accumulated vacation <br />time. <br />A1~7'ICLE 25 <br />UNIF®ALL®WANCE <br />Section 25.1. All newly hired probationary employees shall receive, at the Employer's expense, <br />all items as listed on the Schedule on file with the Police Chief and previously approved by the <br />Mayor and Council. There shall not be additional uniform allowance during the first year of <br />employment for newly hired employees. These items shall be paid by the Finance Department <br />upon submittal of receipts signed and approved by the Police Chief. All items purchased shall be <br />surrendered to the Employer if the employee fails to complete the probationary period. <br />21 <br />
