ORDINANCE NO. 2017-20 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar and Council as a Whole AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO ASTATE/LOCAL PROJECT AGREEMENT WITH THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield has applied for the NatureWorks Grant through the NatureWorks Local Grant Program provided by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources; and WHEREAS, the Village has been awarded $91,408.00 through said application and program for construction of tennis courts; and WHEREAS, the Village has already declared its willingness to appropriate the necessary funds for such project; and WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield desires to use the NatureWorks Grant for assistance in constructing two (2) new tennis courts at Parkview Park; and WHEREAS, Council deems it necessary and in the best interest to the health, safety and welfare of all Village residents to authorize acceptance of the NatureWorks Grant provided by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and to enter into aState/Local Project Agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, DE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village ofMayfield, County of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio: SECTION 1. That Council of the Village of Mayfield authorizes and directs the Mayor to enter into aState/Local Project Agreement with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. SECTION 2. That the Village Mayor, or her authorized representative, is hereby authorized and directed to enter into aState/Local Project Agreement with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources as set forth in the document attached and incorporated by reference as Exhibit "A." SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in coimpliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
