ORDINANCE NO. 2017-20 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR <br />TO ENTER INTO ASTATE/LOCAL PROJECT AGREEMENT <br />WITH THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield has applied for the NatureWorks Grant through the <br />NatureWorks Local Grant Program provided by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village has been awarded $91,408.00 through said application and program for <br />construction of tennis courts; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village has already declared its willingness to appropriate the necessary funds <br />for such project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield desires to use the NatureWorks Grant for assistance in <br />constructing two (2) new tennis courts at Parkview Park; and <br />WHEREAS, Council deems it necessary and in the best interest to the health, safety and welfare <br />of all Village residents to authorize acceptance of the NatureWorks Grant provided by the Ohio <br />Department of Natural Resources and to enter into aState/Local Project Agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, DE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village ofMayfield, County of <br />Cuyahoga and State of Ohio: <br />SECTION 1. That Council of the Village of Mayfield authorizes and directs the Mayor to enter <br />into aState/Local Project Agreement with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. <br />SECTION 2. That the Village Mayor, or her authorized representative, is hereby authorized <br />and directed to enter into aState/Local Project Agreement with the Ohio Department of Natural <br />Resources as set forth in the document attached and incorporated by reference as Exhibit "A." <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council relating <br />to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations <br />of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the <br />public in coimpliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the <br />Ohio Revised Code. <br />
