-- ORDINANCE NO. 201.7-22 <br />~~ INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar and Council as Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR RESIDENTIAL <br />SOLID WASTE COLLECTION, DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING SERVICES WITH <br />KIMBLE RECYCLING AND DISPOSAL, INC. FOR AFIVE-YEAR TERM <br />BEGINNING ON JUNE 15, 2017 AND EXPIRING JUNE 14, 2022 <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village advertised for bid proposals .for residential solid waste <br />collection and related services; and <br />WHEREAS, those bids were received and reviewed and it has been determined that the bid <br />of Kimble Recycling & Disposal, Inc. is the lowest and best bid based upon the specifications issued <br />by Mayfield Village and, as such, Council desires to authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract with <br />that company. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of Mayfield Village, County of <br />Cuyahoga and State of Ohio: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor is authorized to accept the bid received by Kimble Recycling & <br />Disposal, Inc. ("Kimble") for residential solid waste collection, disposal and recycling services, <br />which is hereby deemed to be the lowest and best bid, asset forth in the bid documents submitted by <br />Kimble. <br />SECTION 2. Council authorizes the Mayor to enter into and execute an agreement with <br />Kimble for an initial five-year term beginning on June 15, 2017 and expiring June 14, 2022, for the <br />Automated Collection Price per Residential Unit per month and Waste Disposal Price per ton <br />charges in their bid incorporated in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. The annual charges shall be <br />reviewed and approved by the Director of Finance to assure compliance with this Ordinance and <br />Contract, as set forth in the contract that is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as <br />Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in <br />meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />
