~.•'r ORDINANCE NO. 2017-23 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor and Council as a Whole AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF A 2003 CROWN VICTORIA TO WILLOWICK AUTO WHOLESALE FOR THE SUM OF $2,000.00 WHEREAS, the Village previously advertised for the sale of a 2003 Crown Victoria for which the Village no longer has any use; and WHEREAS, Council authorized the sale to a previous bidder subject to approval by the Director of Finance; and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance determined that said vehicle could be sold for a greater value, and is the desire of Council to authorize such sale; and WHEREAS, Ohio Revised Code Section 721.15(A) allows the Village to sell obsolete or unfit property that is no longer fit for use for the Village. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, County of Cuyahoga, State of Ohio: SECTION 1. The previous bid of Classic Wholesale Parts authorized by Council and rejected by the Director of Finance for $1,375.03 is rejected. SECTION 2. The Mayor and Director of Finance are authorized to sell and transfer title to the Village's 2003 Crown Victoria, VIN number: 2FAFP71W13X181719, to Willowick Auto Wholesale for the sum of $2,000.00. SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. SECTION 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village.
