ORDINANCE NO. 2017-28 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar and Council as a Whole AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO ENTER INTO A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SUPPLEMENTAL GRANT AGREEMENT WITH CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield has submitted an application for the Coinrnunity Development Supplemental Grant (CDSG) through the County Casino Revenue Fund provided by Cuyahoga County, Ohio; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the County Casino Revenue Fund is to promote economic and community development within the County; and WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield desires to use the CDSG funds for assistance in constructing the Grove Bandshell; and WHEREAS, Council deems it necessary and in the best interest to the health, safety and welfare of all Village residents to authorize the Mayor and President of Council to enter into a Community Development Supplemental Grant Agreement provided by Cuyahoga County, Ohio. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, County of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio: SECTION 1. That Council of.the Village of Mayfield authorizes and directs the Mayor to enter into a Community Development Supplemental Grant Agreement with the Cuyahoga County, Ohio. SECTION 2. That the Village Mayor and President of Council is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a Community Development Supplemental Grant Agreement with the Cuyahoga County, Ohio as set forth in the document attached and incorporated by reference as Exhibit "A." SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resultirig in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
